Role Overview
We are looking to hire a Strategy Analyst with 3-6 years of experience, ideally from consulting or strategic finance environments.
This role sits at the intersection of strategy, investments, and operations, with exposure to M&A, financial modelling, portfolio management, and business transformation initiatives.
The individual will work closely with leadership and portfolio companies to translate strategic priorities into executable plans, backed by strong financial and market analysis.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Drive budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling across portfolio companies
- Track performance through KPI dashboards and identify EBITDA improvement levers
- Analyse financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Translate financial insights into clear business narratives for decision-making
- Develop go-to-market strategies and 5-year business plans
- Identify opportunities for business diversification and new market entry
- Conduct market mapping, competitive benchmarking, and gap analysis
- Assess feasibility, investment requirements, and commercial viability
- Build and manage deal pipelines for acquisitions and partnerships
- Lead commercial due diligence (CDD) and evaluate market positioning
- Develop valuation models (DCF, 3-statement models, etc.
- Build detailed financial models including ROI, payback, and sensitivity analysis
- Support go/no-go investment decisions
- Identify operational efficiencies and margin improvement opportunities
- Work with portfolio companies on P&L optimisation
- Prepare high-impact presentations and investment committee materials
- Engage with leadership, advisors, and external stakeholders
Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant (CA) or MBA (Strategy)
- CFA / ICWA or equivalent is a plus
- 3-5 years in consulting firms (MBB, Big 4, Strategy&, A&M, Accenture, etc.)
- Strong exposure to strategy, financial modelling, and transactions
- Experience working with conglomerates / MNCs / CXO offices is preferred
- Advanced Presentation, Excel and financial modelling skills
- Strong understanding of IFRS / US GAAP
