Our client is a prominent and large financial institution based in the UAE. They are seeking a highly skilled professional to join the team as Assistant Manager Group Consolidation.
Job Purpose
- Assist in preparation, collection and consolidation of data for all the entities' to produce timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, half yearly and annual Group Accounts & MIS in line with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Assist in preparing & providing information to external auditors and UAE Central Bank examiners for smooth accomplishment of their respective functions.
- Responsible for GL maintenance activities like GLs, product, cost centre, project codes etc.
- Perform Head Office accounting functions including maintenance of all accounting records pertaining to Head Office branch and related arrangements & recording of income from other sources etc.
Key Result Areas
- Assist in preparation of monthly consolidated group financial statements including quarterly / reviewed financials and annual financials prepared as per International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Coordinate with external auditor for Quarterly & Annual Financials for the Group in providing information required for their audit process.
- Responsible for opening set up of new G/L Accounts in Flexcube and ERP.
- Assist in monthly flash and quarterly financial reports for senior management, incorporating comprehensive analysis of variances and comparative industry performance.
- Record Head Office income from others sources such as Management Fee, Interest, Commission and other miscellaneous income etc.
- Assist in Preparation of information for rating agencies, central bank, and managing surveys for regulators and statistical departments
- Review audit engagement letters and invoices for correctness and arrange this to be signed. Also arrange approvals and/or payments for Overseas Consultancy Audit activities.
Qualifications
- Qualified Accountant
- 2 - 3 years of work experience in the field of Accounting & Management reporting having reasonable knowledge of various products being offered
- Proficiency in computer application software is required
- Knowledge of Banking system would be added advantage
