Job Summary: Company is seeking a versatile and results-driven professional to fill the combined role of Data Scientist and Data Engineer. This unique opportunity allows the candidate to play a pivotal role in both the strategic development of advanced analytics solutions and the foundational infrastructure for optimal data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL). The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to data-driven decision-making processes, and ensure the availability and reliability of our data systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze large datasets using statistical and machine learning techniques to identify trends and patterns.
- Develop predictive models to support business objectives, optimizing for scalability and performance.
- Design and implement algorithms to solve complex business problems.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines for ETL processes.
- Manage and optimize database systems for high performance, security, and availability.
- Create visualizations and dashboards to communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with UX/UI teams to ensure effective communication of data findings.
- Work closely with business analysts, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and priorities.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data science and engineering.
- Implement new methodologies and tools to enhance data science and engineering processes.
- Document data analysis processes, algorithms, and engineering workflows for knowledge sharing.
- Work closely with Data Scientists and Analysts to understand data requirements and ensure the availability of required datasets.
- Collaborate on the design and implementation of data models.
- Identify and implement improvements to optimize ETL processes for efficiency and reliability.
- Implement and enforce data governance policies and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Data Engineer or a related field.
- Proven experience in both Data Science and Data Engineering roles.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or Julia.
- Proficiency in big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Strong SQL skills and knowledge of database systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, NoSQL databases).
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex findings to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with deep learning frameworks.
- Knowledge of data modeling and warehousing concepts.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
