Compensation: Up to $200K + 0.5% equity

Location: New York, NY (in-person)

Work Policy: On-site only (no remote option)

Relocation: Assistance available up to $10K for the right candidate

Stage: Seed-stage legal AI startup | $3M funding | ~6 engineers

Who Are We?

Were an early-stage AI startup transforming how in-house legal teams work turning slow, repetitive processes into intelligent, efficient systems. Founded by engineers with legal backgrounds and backed by top-tier investors, were already working with leading design partners and preparing for a public launch in Fall 2025.

Our platform helps legal teams surface the right context at the right time past negotiations, playbooks, and precedent language enabling faster, more strategic decisions. We believe context is everything in legal work, and were building the platform that finally connects it all.

What Will You Do?

• Lead the end-to-end product design process, from research and concept to high-fidelity execution.
• Partner directly with the founders to shape product vision, UX principles, and design system foundations.
• Create a scalable design system and establish visual consistency across product and brand experiences.
• Conduct user testing and translate insights into clear, elegant, intuitive workflows.
• Build and nurture a culture of first-principles design balancing speed, empathy, and craft.

What Will You Need?

• 5+ years of experience designing and shipping high-quality, user-facing products.
• A world-class portfolio showcasing interaction, visual, and systems design excellence.
• Experience at companies with high design standards (e.g., Linear, Notion, Figma, Stripe, Superhuman, Dropbox, Airbnb).
• Deep understanding of user-centered design and attention to detail.
• Comfort with autonomy and ambiguity in an early-stage startup environment.
• Enthusiasm for working in-person in New York City with a small, fast-moving team.
• High curiosity, humility, and taste a builder who obsesses over getting it right.
