Assistant Sales Manager | Lighting | LED | E&M

Our client is a US-based engineering solutions provider with a global presence and qualified as an approved supplier and contractor to Hong Kong's prestigious bodies including the HKSAR Government and MTRC.

As a market leader in the sector, combining service of sales, marketing, distribution, and contracting with engineering solutions for the construction and industrial business sectors for Hong Kong, China, and Macau markets. And specializes in Lamps & Lighting, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, and Building Services.

The significant high-profile infrastructure projects include the new Hong Kong Airport, the Lantau Airport Railway, the Tsing Ma Bridge and Western Harbour Tunnel, Tseung Kwan O Extension, West Rail, and the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Job Description:

• Work closely with Clients/Architects/Lighting Consultants/E&M Consultants on lighting concepts for various applications;
• Strong familiarity with the Hong Kong and Macau market, including local business environment, customer behavior, and industry trends
• Responsible for maintaining regular communication with clients, contractors and end users in Macau, ensuring strong relationships, timely follow-up, and effective coordination.
• Develop detailed designs and specifications using CAD drawings;
• Provide budget estimates and power consumption and lux simulation calculations;
• Review proposed fixtures, fittings, and circuitry layouts from suppliers/contractors;
• Conduct site inspections to ensure quality and proper installation;
• Assist in lighting sample submission and material sourcing including qualifying and managing OEM partner factories;
• Support sales and marketing efforts, including customer acquisition and technical support.

Requirements:

• Diploma or above in engineering or relevant discipline is preferred;
• 4-5 years experience with lighting (general, interior, landscape, facade, architectural)
• Previous work experience in lighting distributors or lighting manufacturers is strongly preferred
• Hands-on working experience in electrical and wiring, dimming control method and dimming system is preferred;
• Solid knowledge in Basic lighting design skill, lux calculation, Autocad, Dialux, Photoshop, Microsoft office;
• Able to travel to Macau when necessary for client meetings, market visits, and business development activities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle client inquiries and provide professional support
• Self-motivated, confident, willing to learn and out-going;
• Proficiency in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English is preferred.;
• Immediate available is an advantage.
