Category Manager - Rebar & Steel

Job description:

• Develop and manage the product assortment plans and pricing strategies to achieve agreed financial targets & margins.
• Forecast and manage the open-to-buy process in accordance with sales trends and business opportunities.
• Liaise with global vendors and suppliers for product procurement, quality, costing, sample arrangement, testing follow-up, and delivery.
• Coordinate the placement of purchase orders and complete the process in liaison with the internal teams upon to product arrival.
• Review and negotiate key terms of contracts and formalize all agreements to ensure the most favorable payment terms, commitments, and costs.
• Review excessive inventory levels and formulate strategies to reduce inventory by achieving cost-effectiveness.

Any other projects assigned by CEO.

Skills Required:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent level.
• 10 years+ of experience in global and local rebar and structural steel markets and operational model.
• Strategic thinker with distinctive analytical skills.
• Self-motivated, independent, and proactive.
• Extensive contract expertise.
• Good negotiation skills for costing and well manage production lead time.
• Good stakeholder relationship management skills internally and externally.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal English, Cantonese, and Mandarin).

Woking Hour & Benefit:

• Managerial grade
• Monday Friday, 9.00 am 6.00 pm
