About The Role

Reporting to the Product Manager of Asia and being a part of Asia and Global teams to conduct comprehensive Chemical data research and analysis, including Marco & Micro economy factors regarding market summaries, industry, competitor, and price strategy. You will also be a part of various internal committees for key processes on your areas of expertise and cross-department/region projects.

Job Functions

• Maintain a database of macro-economic information, competitor, customer, and competitive intelligence of the regions
• Maintain intelligence on operating capability and economics of regions consuming facilities and pending facilities
• Develop, maintain, and confirm comprehensive overview of market supply and demand
• Generate real-time demand statistics based on operating rates of plants in varying derivative sectors
• Maintain competitor data for the regions to enhance understanding of the market structure
• Reconcile with export statistics and country-level demand
• Support Product Manager for monthly price talking points and key messages, track pricing performance gaps and recommendation.
• Maintain and update contract log to track contracting progress
• Maintain and update any other Key Performance Indicators
• Support for strategic projects, pricing strategy feedback

Qualifications

• Degree in Business, Marketing, Finance or Statistic
• At least 5 years of relevant Market Research and Analysis experience is gained from Chemical / Petro-Chemical / Pharmaceutical / Raw Material
• Strong business acumen and financial knowledge
• Modeling capability in Excel; PowerBI knowledge an asset
• Proven experience with data manipulation and analyses to support business decisions
• Strong computer skills in Office applications (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Excellent in English and Chinese
