About The Role
Based in our office in Hong Kong, this position reports to Commercial Manager, Logistics, Asia, and is responsible for assisting the Operations Team in data gathering, providing insightful analysis and recommendations.
Project Management Support conducting studies and delivering on logistics, supply chain and marketing related commercial projects. Execution of spot purchasing and swaps for the Asia Region.
Job Functions
- Supply chain management - Lead supply & demand planning for the SEA market to ensure supply reliability while maintaining low costs and smooth operations.
- Co-ordinate with swap and offtake partners to ensure reliable supply to SEA and ANZ region.
- Identify purchasing needs to support supply planning for SEA and ANZ. This includes all associated tasks, including documentation.
- Relationship Management - Main focal point of operational contact with strategic swap and offtake suppliers in Asia, and account owner for specific Logistics service provider contracts.
- Budgeting - Responsible for reporting Asia logistics budget and KPIs in-line with Global Supply Chain and Finance guidelines.
- Reporting - Prepare quarterly reports for Asia region to enable Management review of Supply Chain and Logistics function performance.
- Inventory management - Work with local teams to effectively monitor, evaluate and report on Inventory levels across stocking points, to ensure balance between maintaining sufficient inventory and ensuring strategic purchasing gaps.
- Contracting - Handle documentation, invoicing, price and volume reconciliation and contract renewals for relevant swaps and offtakes.
- Provide back up for the China region and Global Supply Chain teams with respect to some or all of the above tasks.
Qualifications
- University degree and experience in relevant field (Economics, Supply Chain, or Logistics Management) MBA an asset.
- Minimum four (4) years of experience in a data or supply chain analyst role.
- Proven experience with data manipulation and basic excel modelling
- Proven experience in project management and execution
- Strong computer skills in Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Modelling capability in Excel; PowerBI knowledge an asset
- Knowledge in Oracle ERP systems and reporting a plus
- Strong communication skills in a multi-cultural environment
- Analytical mind and strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent team working skills
- Supplier or vendor management experience a plus
- Budgeting and cost management experience a plus
