Fintech AI Transformation Consultant (Contract) | Regulated Platform

Our client is the Indonesian Commodity Futures Trading Regulatory Agency (BAPPEBTI), a regulated futures brokerage firm that provides Foreign Exchange (Forex), Commodity, and Stock Index trading services through mobile applications. The Indonesia office comes with over 100 staff across Business Development, Marketing, Trading, Analyst, and Operations.



Our client is seeking an experienced AI Consultant to lead the end-to-end AI transformation of our business. This is a hands-on builder role—not a strategy-deck role—where you will design, build, and deploy functional AI systems across our operations, client acquisition pipeline, and trading platform. Your primary objective is to drive business goals by improving workflow and operational efficiency, ensuring robust data security and governance, enhancing the quality of new client acquisition, and facilitating seamless internal knowledge transfer.



KEY DUTIES:

• Act as subject matter expertise in building AI-ready infrastructure and deploy first-wave AI applications
• AI Readiness Report + Data Classification Matrix: Data audit, system architecture mapping, security classification framework, API readiness assessment, staff AI policy, and data governance setup
• Unified Data API (client, trade, CRM, notification endpoints): Data centralisation, middleware/API layer for legacy systems, vector database setup, event-driven architecture pilot, synthetic data environment for safe model testing
• Staff-facing AI assistant live; model governance framework: Internal knowledge base chatbot (compliance, SOPs, product docs), AI meeting assistant, regulatory change monitoring tool, prompt engineering repository
• Client-facing AI touchpoints live with shadow-mode validation: AI onboarding assistant, lead qualification bot, 24/7 client support chatbot (Bahasa + English), personalised dashboard logic, real-time risk warning engine for novice traders

MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years hands-on experience building and deploying LLM-based applications (OpenAI, Anthropic, or equivalent)
• Proven experience with API development, middleware integration, and legacy system connectivity
• Demonstrable projects involving RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation), vector databases, and chatbot deployment
• Experience with data pipeline design, data cleansing, and cloud database architecture
• Strong Python proficiency; familiarity with LangChain, LlamaIndex, or equivalent orchestration framework
• Understanding of data security, access control, and privacy-preserving AI practices
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and resistant staff

STRONGLY PREFERRED

• Prior experience in fintech, brokerage, or regulated financial services
• Familiarity with Indonesian regulatory environment (OJK guidelines on data and technology)
• Experience with event-driven architecture (Kafka, AWS EventBridge, or equivalent)
• Knowledge of model governance, drift monitoring, and shadow-mode deployment practices
• Bahasa Indonesia proficiency for building bilingual AI tools (Good to have)
• Experience building feature stores and managing AI model registries
• Background in synthetic data generation for privacy-sensitive industries
