Job Title: WMS Functional QA Lead

Location: San Ramon, CA(4 days onsite in a week)

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced WMS Functional QA Lead to lead the functional testing efforts for our Warehouse Management System (WMS) implementation/enhancement projects. The role requires strong expertise in WMS processes, test strategy, and end-to-end QA delivery to ensure system reliability, accuracy, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead QA activities for WMS functional testing across implementation, upgrades, and enhancements.
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into test strategies and scenarios.
• Create, review, and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for functional, regression, UAT, and integration testing.
• Execute functional testing, validate WMS workflows, and ensure alignment with business processes.
• Identify, document, and track defects; work closely with development and business teams for resolution.
• Manage test data preparation and environment readiness.
• Coordinate with onsite/offshore QA teams, ensuring timely execution and reporting of test activities.
• Provide status updates, test metrics, and quality reports to stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with QA best practices, standards, and methodologies.

Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ years of QA experience with at least 3+ years in a WMS functional QA lead role.
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations and WMS processes (inbound, outbound, inventory, order management, picking, packing, shipping, returns, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with leading WMS platforms (e.g., Manhattan, Blue Yonder, SAP EWM, Oracle WMS, HighJump).
• Proven experience in test planning, execution, and defect management using tools like JIRA, HP ALM, or similar.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide QA teams and coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
• Knowledge of automation testing for WMS (nice to have).

Education

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
