Senior Pro*C Developer

Were looking for a Senior WMS Developer (C / Pro*C) to help enhance and modernise core Warehouse Management System (WMS) platforms. Youll design, develop, and optimize high-performance systems that power large-scale warehouse operations and automation environments.

Location: Remote across the US.

Key Responsibilities

Core Development (60%)

• Design, develop, and maintain core WMS components using C, Pro*C, and Catalyst framework
• Implement complex warehouse business logic (allocation, picking, putaway, inventory)
• Optimize database transactions and performance using Oracle embedded SQL
• Maintain clean, modular, and well-documented code
• Participate in code reviews and enforce quality standards

Integration & Collaboration (20%)

• Integrate WMS with automation systems (Exotec, Bastian AutoStore, etc.)
• Collaborate with Python/Django teams for C-Python integration
• Partner with DB developers to fine-tune Pro*C SQL performance
• Engage with operations teams to align business and technical requirements

Technical Leadership (15%)

• Mentor junior developers in C and WMS development
• Lead technical design and architecture discussions
• Contribute to modernization and refactoring initiatives
• Document design patterns and core architectural principles

Required Qualifications

Technical Skills:

• 7+ years of C programming or Oracle Pro*C, including memory management and Unix/Linux systems
• Strong SQL and PL/SQL expertise, with focus on performance tuning
• Experience with high-volume OLTP systems and transaction management

Domain Expertise:

• 3 Years of experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) like Catalyst, Manhattan, Blue Yonder, HighJump, SAP EWM
• Solid grasp of warehouse operations, automation, and RF integrations
• Understanding of supply chain and logistics principles

Professional Experience:

• 7 to 10 years total software development experience
• Proven track record delivering robust enterprise solutions in production
