Position Summary

JGA is seeking a WMS Technical Lead to support the design, configuration, integration, and maintenance of Blue Yonder (BY) Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) in a high-volume distribution environment. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in WMS architecture, system integrations, and performance optimization, ensuring stable and compliant system operations across environments.

Key Responsibilities

System Configuration & Maintenance

• Build new WMS environments per Blue Yonder (BY) specifications and implement all required code and configuration to meet operational requirements.

• Maintain and tune system settings to ensure optimal warehouse performance.

• Collaborate with network, DBA, and security teams to ensure all environments are operational and compliant.

System Integration

• Partner with IT and other cross-functional teams to integrate the WMS with systems such as ERP, MBOX, Middleware, Data Warehouse, and WCS.

• Ensure seamless data flow and maintain high system interoperability.

Technical Support & Troubleshooting

• Provide expert-level support for production and non-production environments.

• Diagnose and resolve system issues, responding promptly to monitoring alerts to maintain uptime and performance.

• Manage hotfixes, patches, internal and external rollouts, coordinating with change control management and software vendors.

• Ensure all changes follow SDLC standards and maintain environment patch tracking.

• Support server maintenance and patch cycles in coordination with infrastructure teams.

Documentation & Training

• Develop and maintain detailed SOPs, system documentation, and training materials for internal and external stakeholders.

• Deliver knowledge transfer and support training sessions as needed.

Annual Disaster Recovery & Compliance

• Partner with DBA teams to conduct annual Disaster Recovery (DR) tests, ensuring compliance and documentation readiness.

• Support scheduled database refreshes and related testing activities.

System Audits & Security

• Conduct routine system and data integrity audits to maintain accuracy and compliance.

• Implement and monitor security measures to safeguard warehouse and operational data.

Process Improvement

• Collaborate with operations and IT leadership to identify and implement process improvements.

• Recommend and standardize technical procedures to enhance system performance and operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.

• 7+ years of experience in WMS technical support, configuration, and integration (preferably Blue Yonder / JDA).

• Strong knowledge of system administration, database management, and networking fundamentals.

• Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and lead technical projects.

• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Linux/Unix environments and Oracle databases.

• Familiarity with WCS/WES integrations and automation systems.

• Working knowledge of SDLC, ITIL, and change control practices.
