Project Manager - WMS and Supply Chain Technology

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager with a strong background in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and supply chain operations. This dedicated role will be responsible for overseeing and driving projects primarily focusing on Maves/Scale implementations and related initiatives, ensuring successful execution and alignment with business objectives. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the warehousing domain and demonstrate a proven track record of managing complex projects in the logistics and distribution sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership & Management:
    • Lead and manage end-to-end WMS and related technology, focusing on Maves/Scale implementations.
    • Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope definition, resource allocation, timelines, and budget management.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for project team and operations, ensuring effective communication and stakeholder engagement.
    • Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, developing contingency plans and addressing challenges in a timely manner.
    • Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and align with business objectives and IT strategy.
  • WMS & Supply Chain Expertise:
    • Leverage strong WMS knowledge and hands-on experience (preferably with platforms like Manhattan SCALE) to drive project success.
    • Possess a deep understanding of warehousing domain, including order fulfillment, inventory management, materials handling, and logistics processes.
    • Collaborate with business owners, IT, and other stakeholders to gather and analyze WMS requirements, translating them into technical specifications.
  • Communication & Collaboration:
    • Effectively communicate project status, risks, and dependencies to leadership, project teams, and business units.
    • Facilitate strong cross-functional collaboration and maintain healthy relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors.
    • Work US hours to field calls and participate in meetings, fostering seamless communication and responsiveness.
  • Mentorship & Development:
    • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering their professional growth and development.
  • Reporting & Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, requirements documentation, and risk registers.
    • Regularly report on project performance metrics and contribute to process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in project management, with a strong focus on WMS implementations within the supply chain/distribution management space.
  • Proven experience leading WMS implementation projects, preferably with Tier 1 WMS like Manhattan SCALE.
  • Deep understanding of warehousing operations and logistics processes.
  • Experience with project management tools such as ADO, ServiceNow, or MS Project.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, and leadership skills, including the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, risk management, and change management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and prioritize effectively.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with specific WMS platforms such as Manhattan SCALE, Maves WMS, Blue Yonder (JDA), Oracle WMS, SAP EWM, or HighJump.
  • Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and related enterprise software solutions.
  • Experience with Agile or Waterfall methodologies.
