Senior PHP Developer

Our client, one of Europes largest resale platforms operating on several markets, is looking for a Senior PHP Engineer to join their hardworking team of like-minded conscious colleagues dedicated to reducing fashion industrys impact on the planet and promoting a less wasteful lifestyle.

How you will make an impact:

As a Senior PHP Engineer, your contribution will be instrumental in their team's mission to create an event-based distributed micro-service-oriented software environment that has a profound impact on millions of clients across diverse European markets. Leveraging your expertise in PHP, you will play a pivotal role in planning and developing this cutting-edge infrastructure, revolutionizing the way their clients interact with their services. By collaborating closely with cross-functional teams and delivering scalable, high-performance solutions, you will leave a lasting mark on the digital landscape, shaping the future of their clients' experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in planning, designing, and development phases of event-based distributed micro-service-oriented software products.

• Improves code structure and architecture in service of testability and maintainability.

• Writes, co-writes, and reviews documentation of design and support (e.g., design diagrams, API definitions, monitoring thresholds, troubleshooting guides, etc.).

• Works with the team and adjacent teams to solve problems. Escalates problems that have a broader scope.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience with PHP
• Experience with Yii2/Laravel/Symfony
• Expertise with MySQL
• Expertise with RabbitMQ /Kafka/Redis
• Strong experience in OOP and SOLID principles
• A clear understanding of architectural patterns and best coding practices
• Solid problem-solving and analytical skills
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Excellent communication skills in both Bulgarian and English

Nice to have:

• Concurrency and distributed systems
• Experience with high-traffic web applications
• Experience with Docker/Kubernetes
• Experience with Node.js
• Understanding of CI/CD principles
