Job Summary:
The Modern Trade Account Manager will oversee strategic operations for our modern trade sector, ensuring alignment with company objectives across sales, marketing, finance, and operations. The ideal candidate should possess a strong FMCG background, particularly in modern trade management, demonstrating expertise in developing customer-focused marketing strategies and driving revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Modern Trade (MT) accounts in accordance with company strategies to achieve key business metrics (Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations).
- Develop and implement customer marketing plans that meet channel profitability, volume targets, market share goals, and customer objectives.
- Lead and mentor teams to achieve revenue and profit targets, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Analyze sales data, promotional activities, and trade performance to optimize the trade promotion budget.
- Conduct business reviews, evaluate marketing campaigns, review business plans, and address sales challenges.
- Manage Promotion & Activation Plans, New Product Development (NPD) launches, and in-store promotions to achieve sales targets.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key customers.
- Manage budgets for Modern Trade accounts, ensuring effective resource allocation across sales, marketing, and personnel expenses.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience as an Assistant Key Account Manager, Key Account Manager, or Modern Trade Manager in the FMCG industry (food industry experience preferred).
- Proficiency in distributor business operations.
- Ability to establish and maintain relationships with senior buyers.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, presentation, and people management skills.
- Proven ability to manage complex workloads and deliver exceptional sales performance.
- Proactive with a strong initiative, committed to project completion within deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of both independent work and effective team collaboration.
- Proficiency in English (both spoken and written) and computer literacy.
