About the job Conveyancing Paralegal
A well-established law firm based in Roodepoort is looking for a Conveyancing Paralegal to join their team. The suitable candidate must be an allrounder with experience in property transactions, including residential and commercial properties.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist conveyancers with all aspects of property transactions, including residential and commercial properties.
- Prepare and lodge documentation for property transfers and registrations with the Deeds Office.
- Draft and review contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
- Liaise with clients, estate agents, and other stakeholders.
- Manage property files, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and deadlines.
- Perform administrative duties such as filing, record-keeping, and diary management.
- FICA administration, following up to ensure the FICA requirements are complete
Desired Experience and Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a conveyancing role.
- In-depth knowledge of South African property law and the conveyancing process.
- Familiarity with relevant legal software and document management systems.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Paralegal qualification or related legal studies would be advantageous.
