About the job Conveyancing Paralegal

A well-established law firm based in Roodepoort is looking for a Conveyancing Paralegal to join their team. The suitable candidate must be an allrounder with experience in property transactions, including residential and commercial properties.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Assist conveyancers with all aspects of property transactions, including residential and commercial properties.
  • Prepare and lodge documentation for property transfers and registrations with the Deeds Office.
  • Draft and review contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Liaise with clients, estate agents, and other stakeholders.
  • Manage property files, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and deadlines.
  • Perform administrative duties such as filing, record-keeping, and diary management.
  • FICA administration, following up to ensure the FICA requirements are complete

Desired Experience and Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a conveyancing role.
  • In-depth knowledge of South African property law and the conveyancing process.
  • Familiarity with relevant legal software and document management systems.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Paralegal qualification or related legal studies would be advantageous.
