Legal Manager - Energy Solutions Company - Johannesburg

Our client, a leading energy solutions company, is seeking a highly skilled and proactive Legal Contract Manager to join their dynamic team. It is essential for the candidate to have corporate commercial experience. This individual will play a key role in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a diverse range of contracts, as well as managing various legal transactions across the business. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, adaptable, and able to navigate complex legal matters with autonomy, ensuring compliance and minimising risk. Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate various types of agreements, including power purchase agreements.
• Manage legal aspects of setting up joint ventures with partners.
• Provide legal advice and support on a wide range of corporate and commercial matters.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
• Liaise with external legal counsel as required.
• Maintain loan agreement compliance and be involved in closing debt and equity transactions.
• Develop and implement legal strategies to support business objectives.
• Maintain accurate and organised records, including updating the company contract tracker.
• Conduct legal research and stay updated on relevant legal developments.

Education and Experience Requirements

• LLB, Admitted Attorney. 
• Minimum 5 years PQE at a leading law firm.
• Corporate & Commercial experience.
• Highly detail-oriented and able to work independently.
