DBA Sysadmin

General Objective:

As a Sysadmin/DBA in our client's Support Team you have the chance to acquire knowledge in a new business domain and to grow professionally due to the exposure to many technologies and complex system architecture.

Linux and DB administration

Required qualifications and requirements:

• Bachelors degree or masters degree in computer science or engineering, or related field.
• Advanced knowledge of Linux operating systems (RedHat, CentOS, SLES).
• Experience with Windows Servers (2016/2019).
• Experience with PostgreSQL \ Oracle database installing, administration and support.
• Experience to deploy backup and recovery procedures for DB servers.
• Experience with remote installation and configuration of servers.
• Experience with Application servers as: Tomcat, WebLogic.
• Experience with virtualization preferably with VMware technologies (vCenter, ESXi).
• Experience with monitoring tools (Nagios, Centreon, Prometheus, etc.).
• Experience with IT service management tools.
• Experience with backup software solutions / disaster recovery solutions.
• Analyze and redirect problems to correct individuals and teams.
• Write and maintain documentation.
• Test new hardware and software
• Performs system updates and server configurations.
• Implement changes in multiple environments from development to production.

Preferred qualifications and requirements

• Experience to develop database code using ANSI SQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle.
• Experience on data modeling and relational database design.
• Experience with automation tools/platforms preferably Ansible or Puppet.
• Experience with scripting languages (Bash, PowerShell, etc.).
• Experience with other (apart from servers) data center infrastructure components such as networking devices, storage systems, power and cooling equipment, and cabling
• Experience with network protocols, such as TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, and switching.

Skills:

• Strong communication skills in English (French communication is a plus).
• Strong understanding of deadlines and commitment to schedules.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to fast moving target, shifting of priorities and tasks.
• Good troubleshooting, problem solving and analytical skills.
• Strong team player.
• Willing to travel abroad twice a year if is need it, including Africa.
