L2 Desktop Technician

You'll be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing desktop computers. You will provide support to our customers by resolving issues related to hardware and software. You should have experience with Microsoft Windows 10/11, Office 2016 & Office 365, OneDrive and SharePoint Online.

Requirements

• Troubleshoots hardware and software issues
• Resolves application problems, including resolving and repairing name resolution settings
• Provides consultation to less-experienced users on a variety of applications, including email, Internet browsers, Internet security, Antivirus and Microsoft Office
• Execute basic maintenance on a specific piece of hardware or software
• Perform troubleshooting operations
• Provide support in the areas of networking, security, administrative management, system integration and administration

• Preferably 3-5 Years IT End User Support experience
• Microsoft Desktop Operating Systems experience – Windows 10 / 11
• MS-Office versions (2016, and Office 365)
• Computer hardware and software troubleshooting skills
• Microsoft System Center 2012 & Microsoft Endpoint Manager
• Effective Management of IT hardware and IT environment
• Active Directory – Creating users and password resets
• Support Java and Dot Net applications
• Java installs and configuration
• Good Telephonic user support
• Good PC imaging and build skills
• Fast thinker and good communication skills
  
  
  

Qualifications

• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to complete daily tasks with ease.
• Tertiary education and relevant technology courses attended (MCDST, A+, N+) required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field advantageous
• Must have two years of experience as a desktop technician with hands-on experience installing and configuring Windows Operating Systems.
• Must have three years of recent experience as a Desktop Technician in an office environment or IT department.

Remuneration

• R15000 to R17000 Basic
• 3 Month Probation

Working Hours:

• 15:00 – 00:00 & 16:00-01:00
• Transport will be provided for shifts ending at 7pm (from work to home only)
