Digital Marketing & Communication Officer

This position is ideal for a motivated professional with a strong capability and passion for digital marketing and communications for global audiences. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing, enhancing, and maintaining the organisations digital presence, effectively promoting our clients stories, products, and achievements. This role supports the marketing and communications strategies to strengthen brand visibility, engagement, and growth.

Experience:

  • 35 years experience in digital marketing, communications, content creation, or related fields such as graphic design, copywriting, or media.
  • Previous experience in a digital marketing agency or similar environment, ideally with exposure to international brands (including social media management, campaign execution, and content creation).
  • Experience with international marketing is an advantage.
  • Skilled in using digital communication channels and tools, including social media platforms, web systems, and engagement techniques.
  • Proficiency with digital newsletter platforms (e.g., Mailchimp) and website management (e.g. Squarespace).
  • Competent in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of Google AdWords, online advertising, and e-commerce platforms is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with project and workflow management tools (e.g., ClickUp, Trello).

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation (40%)

  • Draft and edit editorial content, press releases, and corporate publications; oversee production and distribution where required.
  • Develop compelling content tailored for both digital platforms and traditional marketing channels.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Communications and Sustainability to plan and schedule content in advance, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities.
  • Maintain monthly content calendars to capture key dates, events, and campaigns, ensuring consistent communication across all channels.

Communication & Digital Marketing (40%)

  • Develop and implement innovative communication and digital marketing campaigns that promote the organisation, its products, and services.
  • Manage all digital channels (website, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, newsletters), ensuring content is current, engaging, and aligned with objectives.
  • Execute and evolve the social media strategy: plan, create, and publish content that resonates with target audiences.
  • Develop content to support market expansion, partnerships, and product promotion.
  • Maintain and update the website; produce and distribute monthly newsletters with relevant content and messaging for core audiences.
  • Coordinate the distribution of stakeholder communications.
  • Respond promptly to social media queries and direct stakeholders to relevant resources.
  • Support crisis communication efforts across all platforms, ensuring consistent and accurate messaging.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Communications and Sustainability to prepare presentations, conduct interviews, and align communication with local and international partners.
  • Provide regular feedback and communication insights to the Head of Communications and Sustainability, General Manager, and, when required, the Board of Directors.

Market Intelligence, Online Analytics & Database Management (20%)

  • Gather and monitor digital marketing data across all channels, identifying trends, audience insights, and potential issues.
  • Track, measure, and evaluate digital engagement using analytics tools, providing actionable insights to strengthen campaigns.
  • Monitor media coverage to flag reputational risks early and advise on appropriate responses.
  • Use social media and industry monitoring to identify brands, designers, and organisations working with mohair and natural fibres, highlighting partnership opportunities.
  • Follow international fashion trends and industry platforms, sharing relevant updates to keep stakeholders informed.
