Are you a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) with theatre experience, looking for a flexible and rewarding opportunity in a dynamic private surgical practice? Our client is seeking a capable and motivated nursing sister to join their team in a part-time capacity, with the potential to adapt hours to fit your existing theatre or wound care commitments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the surgeon during in-room sedation and local procedures
  • Manage and maintain the procedure room, ensuring a sterile and organized environment
  • Oversee the sterilization and inventory of surgical instruments
  • Perform wound dressings and suture removal, and manage related patient queries
  • Provide clinical support and ensure optimal patient care throughout the day
  • Handle authorisations and switchboard duties as needed
  • Provide administrative support, including handling patient correspondence and general practice queries
  • Step in as a receptionist on days when the doctor is in theatre

Requirements

  • Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) Theatre experience is essential
  • Prior experience assisting with in-room surgical or sedation procedures
  • Excellent understanding of infection control and sterile field practices
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and assist with both clinical and administrative duties
  • Friendly and professional bedside manner
  • Comfortable working independently and taking initiative

Working Hours

  • Approx. 24 hours per week (with flexibility)
  • Ideal schedule: Monday Friday, 08:00 17:00
  • Flexibility available for candidates who wish to maintain other theatre or wound care commitments
