Job Purpose:
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Trainee Manager to join our team at our Uitenhage liquor outlet. This role is part of a structured management training program designed to equip high-potential individuals with the skills, knowledge, and experience required to manage a store effectively within a national retail environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Store Manager in day-to-day operations, including inventory management, staff supervision, merchandising, and customer service.
- Learn and apply company policies, procedures, and standards to ensure store compliance and excellence.
- Monitor and drive sales performance, ensuring achievement of store targets.
- Support in stock control processes including receiving, ordering, rotation, and shrinkage management.
- Help lead and motivate a team to deliver outstanding customer experiences.
- Handle cash management procedures, including cash-ups and banking.
- Uphold safety and security procedures in compliance with liquor legislation.
- Attend and participate in training sessions, performance reviews, and development programs.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 / Matric certificate (essential)
- Tertiary qualification in Retail Management, Business Administration, or related field (advantageous)
- Valid South African ID and Drivers License
- Willingness to relocate if required in future
- Ability to work retail hours including weekends, public holidays, and shifts
