Farm Manager - Montagu

Location: 25km outside Montagu (Ouberg), Western Cape

Accommodation & Bakkie: Provided , DTSV and WIFI 

Applicant Requirements:

• Fluent in both English and Afrikaans (Additional languages beneficial)
• 3-5 years of farm management experience
• General maintenance skills and knowledge (e.g. fencing)
• Basic computer skills | Administration | Accurate record keeping
• First Aid Level 1
• Drivers license
• Needs to be able to drive a tractor and use farm implements (sprayers, ploughs, scrapers etc)
• Have good knowledge of Montagu and surrounding areas would be preferred

Qualifications and Experience:

• A matric certificate
• Any qualification in agriculture would be beneficial
• General management experience
• Past experience working as a groundsman or farm manager
• Farm fire management knowledge and experience
• Experience in hosting / good with guests

Key areas of Responsibility:

• Maintaining and building relationships with key suppliers
• To drive and manage staff
• General cleanliness of the farm (general farm maintenance), living space, machinery, and tools
• Overseeing groundwork
• Overseeing day to day operations on the farm
• Overseeing farm expenses
