Location: Port Elizabeth (Hybrid role initially split between office and remote work)

About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Accountant who has recently completed their board exams as a CA(SA) or is awaiting to write Paper 2. This role offers the opportunity to grow within a supportive environment, gain exposure to diverse financial functions, and contribute to driving sound financial practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reporting.
• Support the preparation of annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and maintain general ledger accuracy.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and other external stakeholders as required.
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and support to senior management.

Requirements

• Successfully completed board exam as a CA(SA) or awaiting Paper 2.
• Strong academic background in accounting and auditing.
• Knowledge of IFRS and relevant South African tax legislation.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a hybrid environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
