Position Purpose

The Software Developer is responsible for building, maintaining, and enhancing the Cario platform, ensuring features are delivered to a high standard and aligned with business and customer needs. The role will contribute to software development, system optimisation, troubleshooting, integrations, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Software Development

• Build, maintain, and enhance platform features based on business and customer requirements.
• Develop scalable and reliable software solutions using established development standards.
• Support system integrations and data flows across the platform.
• Document code, systems, and technical solutions as required.

Code Quality & Maintenance

• Follow coding standards, development practices, and technical guidelines.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure solutions are maintainable and fit for purpose.
• Identify, investigate, and resolve bugs and technical issues.
• Perform root-cause analysis and implement appropriate solutions.

System Performance

• Monitor and optimise system performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Identify opportunities to improve system efficiency and stability.
• Support the ongoing maintenance and enhancement of existing systems.

Collaboration

• Work closely with Product, Architecture, and technical teams to deliver platform improvements.
• Communicate progress, technical issues, and potential risks clearly and proactively.
• Contribute to technical discussions, planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Automation & AI

• Identify opportunities to use automation and AI tools to improve efficiency, quality, and productivity.
• Contribute to AI-enabled workflows and validate AI-assisted outputs.
• Apply appropriate technical judgment and review before finalising AI-assisted work.

Qualifications & Experience

• Relevant degree or qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Previous experience in software development, preferably within a platform or product-based environment.
• Experience developing and maintaining production software applications.
• Experience troubleshooting technical issues and supporting system integrations.

Technical Skills

• Strong experience with .NET and TypeScript.
• Experience with MS SQL, including database design, querying, and optimisation.
• Knowledge of cloud-native development using Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Understanding of software development principles, coding standards, debugging, and system optimisation.
• Experience with APIs, integrations, and data flows is highly desirable.
