Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Estimator to support a Queensland-based Builder/Developer focused on multi-unit residential construction projects in Brisbane and the Gold Coast. This role involves preparing trade measures, producing BOQs using CostX, liaising with subcontractors, and assisting with tender administration and project benchmarking.

Key Responsibilities:

Precontract

• Prepare trade measures and rated BOQs using CostX
• Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers for pricing and scope clarification
• Assess and compare subcontractor trade quotes
• Support tender administration processes

System Administration

• Maintain project benchmarking using live project data
• Update and maintain rate libraries
• Update preliminaries and cost databases

Stakeholder Coordination

• Collaborate with Executive Management, Project Managers, and Site Teams
• Communicate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
• Provide estimating support and technical guidance where required

People & Culture

• Promote teamwork and effective communication across all levels
• Support staff development and knowledge sharing

• Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment

Health, Safety & Environment

• Comply with WHS legislation, company policies, and industry best practices
• Support monthly WHS audits and continuous improvement initiatives
  
• Ensure projects are properly resourced to manage risks effectively

Ethics & Compliance

• Adhere to the Company Code of Conduct
  
• Maintain integrity, professionalism, and compliance in all tasks

Qualifications & Skills:

• Minimum 5+ years of commercial estimating experience in the Australian market
• Proven experience in multi-residential construction projects
• Proficient in CostX (Required)
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel (Required)
• Experience with EstimateOne (E1) – Preferred
• Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines simultaneously
