Role Purpose:

  • The Supply Chain and Procurement Officer will be responsible for vendor and purchasing activities with a focus on optimising a cost-efficient supply of products that meets quality and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables:

  • Purchase Order Management – Prepare, review and execute routine reviews of the demand planning forecast including inventory levels to determine products that require purchase orders. (Analysing price breaks, vendor MOV, carton and pallet quantities for optimal stock ordering).
  • Purchase Orders – Raise purchase orders for products with Vendors for the correct quantities, prices and delivery timelines. Regular review and dialogue with Vendors to ensure orders are on track for delivery and addressing any issues that may arise.
  • Purchase Orders Payments – Preparation of payment pack to finance, including approved purchase order and signed proforma invoice from vendor.
  • Reporting – provide regular reporting data in a professional and concise format with the ability to provide written commentary on insights and recommendations.
  • Data Analysis – Analyse customer supply and sales rates to identify trends, forecast demand, and support data-driven decisions
  • Vendor Management – maintain good vendor relations and deal with various vendor related issues such as price issues; MOQ issues etc. as appropriate and escalate if outside scope of role.
  • New Products – Create and set up new products within the ERP system within the established control framework, including ongoing maintenance.
  • Product management – update products when changes occur (e.g. packaging changes, price changes, lead times).
  • Administrative tasks – Group inbox monitoring, weekly spreadsheet creations, regular internal communications with clear summarised information on outstanding tasks or concerns.
  • Any other tasks as required.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in procurement or supply chain management.
  • 2+ Years experience in procurement
  • Language – Strong verbal and written English language skills. Mandarin is highly desired.
  • Computer skills – highly proficient with Microsoft Excel including complex formulas. Experience with ERP software (Crest currently uses Microsoft AX and will be migrating to Microsoft Business Central). Experience with forecasting software is desirable.
  • Attention to Detail – strong attention to detail with ability to methodically ensure all aspect of complex plans are methodically and accurately executed.
  • Analytical skills – Ability to analyse complex data and work out the most effective solutions to meet deliverables within the role
  • Planning and coordination capabilities – Ability to plan, coordinate and manage the execution of allocated deliverables within agreed timelines to consistently deliver on our customer pledge.
