Roles and Responsibilities

• Create 2D and 3D structural drawings and models for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
• Prepare structural plans and documentation for homeowners, corporate clients, and government organizations.
• Develop detailed structural drawings for various foundation and floor systems, including residential slabs, raft slabs, waffle raft slabs, strip footings, bearer and joist floors, and slab-on-ground systems.
• Produce drawings for both small-scale projects with short turnaround times and large-scale projects requiring long-term planning and detailed documentation.
• Work independently to achieve project goals and meet established deadlines.
• Collaborate with team members during weekly or fortnightly meetings to review project progress and manage workloads.
• Ensure drawings comply with applicable drafting standards, project requirements, and client specifications.
• Coordinate with engineers, project stakeholders, and other team members to deliver accurate and high-quality structural documentation.

Required Experience

• Proven experience in structural drafting or related design work.
• Experience working on residential construction projects is required.
• Exposure to commercial and/or industrial construction projects is highly preferred.
• Experience preparing structural drawings for a variety of project types and scales.
• Familiarity with structural foundation and floor systems, including residential slabs, raft slabs, waffle raft slabs, strip footings, bearer and joist floors, and slab-on-ground systems.

Minimum Qualifications

• Relevant technical certification, diploma, or degree in Engineering Drafting, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of structural drafting principles, construction methods, and drawing standards.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, plans, and specifications accurately.

Candidate Must Have

• Ability to work independently while proactively seeking guidance when necessary.
• Strong organizational, planning, and time-management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate work.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Proficient With

• AutoCAD, Revit, or similar 2D and 3D drafting software.
• Structural drawing and modeling tools.
• Microsoft Office applications.

• Familiarity with Australian building codes, standards, and construction practices.
• Experience working on projects within the Riverina region.
• Experience coordinating with corporate, government, or public-sector clients.
• Exposure to Australian residential structural drafting projects.
