Picker, BLS - Beverages

Reporting line:

• Reporting to the Operations Supervisor.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare orders for delivery in accordance with picking orders and customer requirements and follow vehicle loading procedures.
• Strictly adhere to picking rules of FIFO/FEFO (First In, First Out and First Expiry, First Out principle) for all stocks.
• Monitor the temperature of all stores in BLS and report unacceptable deviations to avoid damage to products.
• Monitor the use of storage space and advise where stock can be compressed or repositioned to make better use of the available space.
• Operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE) with due regard to the safety of all personnel and products.
• Assist the storekeeper in picking up the prepared orders from the warehouse, having checked that the order is correct and matches the requisition.
• Stock the delivery trucks in accordance with the requirements for that delivery.
• Contribute to the team and department targets through a commitment to achieve set goals and by identifying innovative ways to improve performance.
• Recommend ways of stocking and replenishment to optimise time and resources.
• May be required to carry out ad hoc duties for the company within the scope of his skills and experience.

Your profile:

• High school diploma or higher qualification in administration, or a related field.

Years of experience and other skills:

• Working experience in a warehouse/logistics/operation or any other relevant experience is desirable.
• Knowledge of driving MHE vehicles will be an added advantage.
• Bahraini driving license.
• Good communication skills in the English language. Knowledge of Arabic would be an added advantage.
• Basic administrative skills.
• Numeric and basic computer skills.
