Job Title: Central Sterile Services Department (CSSD) Staff

We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented individuals to join our Central Sterile Services Department (CSSD) team at our hospital. As a CSSD Staff member, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our hospital's operations.

Responsibilities:

- Receive, clean, disinfect, assemble, and package medical equipment and instruments according to established protocols and procedures

- Operate and maintain sterilization equipment, ensuring proper functioning and adherence to safety standards

- Monitor and record sterilization cycles and maintain accurate records

- Stock and organize supplies and equipment in the CSSD area

- Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely delivery of sterile supplies for patient care

- Follow infection control guidelines to prevent the spread of infection and maintain a sterile environment

- Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies as needed

- Participate in ongoing training and education to stay updated on industry standards and best practices

- Adhere to hospital policies and procedures at all times

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Previous experience in a sterile processing or healthcare setting preferred

- Knowledge of sterilization techniques and equipment

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

- Strong communication and teamwork skills

- Willingness to adhere to strict infection control protocols

- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and supplies as needed

- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
