About the job Warehouse Supervisor
Responsibilities:
Maintaining the inventory of raw materials once they arrive.
Checking orders, bills, items received, inventory, and deliveries for accuracy.
Maintaining records, reporting relevant information, and preparing any necessary documentation.
Managing, evaluating, and reporting on warehouse productivity.
Tracking and coordinating the receipt, storage, and timely delivery of goods and materials.
Confer and coordinate activities with other departments.
Maintaining suitable inventory levels.
Ensure shipments and inventory transactions accuracy.
Performing a daily inspection of the warehouse grounds.
Supervising warehouse staff and daily activities.
Actively involved in maintaining batch and stock location accuracy on company software and ensuring tight stock control and stock rotation using FIFO principles.
Ensure that good housekeeping and health and safety regulations are adhered to within the work area. To contribute, be involved in and actively support the continuous improvement process within every facet of the department.
Receive, store, and ship products from warehouses by initiating and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
Ensure warehouse operations follow safety procedures to safeguard the employees and products; make sure warehouse activities are in line with the company's policies.
Develop and implement new design layouts and systems to optimize usage and maintenance of warehouse space.
Advise management on requisite actions related to the warehouse.
Support and suggest the effective management of the inward & outward flow of inventory.
Identify areas of improvement and establish innovatively or adjust existing work procedures and practices.
Recruit and train employees; delegate work and follow up on results.
Organize and encourage teamwork to maximize productivity; ensure high levels of job efficiency by coaching, and counseling.

An understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
Reach & Counterbalance Fork Lift license.
Familiar with the use of Inventory control software for the receiving and issuing of stock in a manufacturing environment.
