Cashier

Role Overview

The Cashier will be responsible for handling customer transactions efficiently and accurately, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining the smooth operation of the checkout area.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service.
• Operate cash registers, scanners, and POS systems to process sales.
• Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions securely and accurately.
• Issue receipts, refunds, and change as required.
• Assist customers with inquiries and direct them to relevant departments.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area.
• Balance cash drawers at the end of shifts and report discrepancies.
• Support store operations when required (e.g., bagging, stocking).

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous cashier or retail experience preferred.
• Strong numerical and communication skills.
• Customer-focused attitude with ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Basic computer literacy and familiarity with POS systems.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
