Role Overview
The Cashier will be responsible for handling customer transactions efficiently and accurately, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining the smooth operation of the checkout area.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service.
- Operate cash registers, scanners, and POS systems to process sales.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions securely and accurately.
- Issue receipts, refunds, and change as required.
- Assist customers with inquiries and direct them to relevant departments.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area.
- Balance cash drawers at the end of shifts and report discrepancies.
- Support store operations when required (e.g., bagging, stocking).
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous cashier or retail experience preferred.
- Strong numerical and communication skills.
- Customer-focused attitude with ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with POS systems.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
