About the job Mechatronics Technician

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechatronic systems including servo motors, PLCs, pneumatic actuators, and sensors
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and control system faults on production equipment
  • Assist with installation and commissioning of new manufacturing equipment
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and PLC ladder logic
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to implement equipment upgrades and process improvements
  • Document maintenance activities and update equipment records in the CMMS
  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or technical diploma in Mechatronics, Electromechanical Technology, or related field
  • 0–2 years of hands-on experience with automated manufacturing equipment (internships or co-ops count)
  • Basic understanding of PLCs (Allen-Bradley or Siemens preferred), electrical circuits, and mechanical assemblies
  • Ability to read electrical and mechanical blueprints
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts as needed
