Mechatronics Technician
About the job Mechatronics Technician
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechatronic systems including servo motors, PLCs, pneumatic actuators, and sensors
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and control system faults on production equipment
- Assist with installation and commissioning of new manufacturing equipment
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and PLC ladder logic
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement equipment upgrades and process improvements
- Document maintenance activities and update equipment records in the CMMS
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment
Qualifications
- Associate degree or technical diploma in Mechatronics, Electromechanical Technology, or related field
- 0–2 years of hands-on experience with automated manufacturing equipment (internships or co-ops count)
- Basic understanding of PLCs (Allen-Bradley or Siemens preferred), electrical circuits, and mechanical assemblies
- Ability to read electrical and mechanical blueprints
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to work rotating shifts as needed
