Position: Commis Chef Job Description: We are currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled Commis Chef to join our team. As a Commis Chef, you will be responsible for assisting our Head Chef and Sous Chef in the preparation and cooking of high-quality dishes. You will work closely with the rest of the kitchen staff to ensure that all meals are prepared and presented according to our standards. Responsibilities: - Assist in the preparation and cooking of various dishes, including but not limited to appetizers, entrees, and desserts - Follow recipes and guidelines provided by the Head Chef and Sous Chef - Ensure that all food is cooked and presented according to our standards - Maintain a clean and organized work station at all times - Help with the cleaning and sanitizing of kitchen equipment and utensils - Receive and store food supplies, rotating stock as necessary - Assist in creating and testing new menu items - Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations - Collaborate with the rest of the kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service - Follow proper food handling and storage procedures - Other duties as assigned by the Head Chef or Sous Chef Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent - Culinary school degree or relevant experience preferred - Proven experience as a Commis Chef or similar role - Knowledge of various cooking techniques and methods - Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately - Excellent time management skills - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment - Strong communication and teamwork skills - Attention to detail and creativity - Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings If you are a passionate and dedicated individual with a love for cooking, we would love to meet you.
