About the job Speech Therapist (Speech-Language Pathologist)
Role Summary
The Speech Therapist evaluates, diagnoses, and treats speech, language, voice, and
communication disorders in children and adults. The role requires creating individualized therapy
programs to enhance communication, social interaction, and overall quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
Assess speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing difficulties using
standardized tests.
Develop individualized therapy plans based on patient needs and clinical
evidence.
Conduct therapy sessions, adapting techniques to age, cognitive level, and
cultural considerations.
Educate patients, families, and caregivers on communication strategies and
exercises.
Collaborate with doctors, occupational therapists, psychologists, and
educators to ensure integrated care.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, treatment plans, and
progress reports.
Ensure adherence to Bahrain Ministry of Health regulations and professional
standards.
Stay updated with advances in speech-language pathology through
continuous professional development.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Bachelors or Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an
accredited institution.
Licensed or eligible for licensure in Bahrain.
Strong diagnostic, therapeutic, and patient management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment and independently
when required.
