About the job TECHNICAL OFFICER
Job Summary:
The incumbent will be responsible for the efficient management of the Motor Department to ensure sustainability and growth in the portfolio (consisting of both fleets and individuals).
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect underwriting information/ proposal /details for Motor insurance from clients directly or from Sales team if the lead is from them.
- Procure quotations from different Insurance companies.
- Obtain confirmation/acceptance from the client and prepare Firm Order
- Ensure collection of premiums in advance for Individual clients and /or check and confirm sufficient credit limit for corporate clients before sending Firm Order to the Insurer.
- Ascertain to make draft entry of each Firm Order in INSURIA to have proper control.
- Regular follow-up with the Insurance Companies to obtain policy documents /approvals wherever required
- Check accuracy of terms and conditions of the policy
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation and delivery of Motor certificates, Policies and Endorsements according to the terms and conditions agreed with the Insurers and to the best interest of the customers.
- Prepare, coordinate and ensure timely completion of Tax Invoices / Debit notes.
- Plan and schedule preparation of Renewal analysis,
- Timely follow-up with customers for upcoming renewals.
- Ensure submission of Monthly closing reports.
- Monitor and ensure proper filing and upkeeping of policy records.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree
- Three to five years' experience
Required Competencies:
Basic technical skills – Motor Insurance
Good negotiation skills with underwriters and clients as well
Able to build strong business relationship
Familiarity with business software such as Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint
Excellent interpersonal and customer-facing skills
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
The flexibility and willingness to learn
Ability to work under pressure
The ability to lead and work as part of a team.
The ability to work accurately, with attention to detail.
