Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair automated production equipment including PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and actuators
  • Perform preventive maintenance on automated systems to minimize unplanned downtime
  • Assist with programming and configuration of PLCs, HMIs, and variable frequency drives
  • Install and wire new automation components including sensors, motors, and control panels
  • Monitor system performance and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency
  • Maintain documentation for control systems including wiring diagrams and program backups
  • Support engineering projects involving new automation system deployments

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or technical diploma in Automation, Industrial Electronics, or Electrical Technology
  • 0–2 years of experience with industrial automation systems
  • Basic knowledge of PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or equivalent)
  • Understanding of electrical theory, motor controls, and industrial wiring practices
  • Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profinet)
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
