Responsibilities
- Lead the post tendering QS team.
- Monitor the project budget and provide demand-driven advice to Project Management team on cost control, contract claims and negotiation.
- Review the valuation and variation claims and provide necessary advice to the QS team.
- Attend the claims and negotiation meetings.
- Reporting and forecasting of the costs to the management.
- Identify variance of actual v/s budgeted costs, find cause of variance and take corrective actions.
- Review the payment certificates in line with contract agreement and advice the Division management.
- Regular cost reporting and Monitoring.
Qualifications and skills
- Engineering Degree in Civil/ Quantity surveying.
- Minimum 10 years experience in post tender and cost control.
- Thorough understanding of the financial process used to achieve profitability, EVM & CVR.
- Strong communication skills and negotiation skills.
- Good analytical thinking and resource management skills.
- Good knowledge in applicable conditions of contract -FIDIC/JCT/MOW.
