Warehouse Assistant, BLS- Beverages

Reporting line:

• Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor.

Responsibilities:

• Preparing orders for delivery in accordance with picking orders and customer requirements and following vehicle loading procedures.
• Strict adherence to picking rules on FIFO/FEFO of (first in first out principle, first expire first out principle) to all stocks.
• Monitoring the temperature of all stores and report unacceptable deviations immediately to avoid damage & product loss.
• Regularly surveying stores for leakages, damage, pest infestation, and hygiene and report such to the Supervisor.
• Monitoring the use of storage space and advising where stock can be compressed/ repositioned to make better use of the space available.
• Operating Material Handling Equipment (MHE) with due regard to the safety of all personnel and products.
• Assisting the storekeeper in picking up prepared orders from the warehouse, having checked that the order is correct and matches the requisition.
• Stocking delivery trucks per specific delivery requirements.
• Contributing to team and department targets by committing to achieving set goals and identifying innovative ways to improve performance.
• Recommending ways of stocking and replenishment to optimise time and resources.
• Carrying out any ad hoc duty for the company within the scope of their skills and experience.

Your profile:

• High school diploma or higher qualification in administration or a related field.

Years of experience and other skills:

• 1 year of working experience in a distribution or warehouse operations role.
• Knowledge of driving MHEs.
• Good communication skills in the English language. Knowledge of Arabic would be an added advantage.
• A valid Bahraini driving license is an advantage.
• Numeric and basic computer skills to handle WMS (Warehouse Management System) & in-house stock control systems.
