Job Description:

We are seeking a reliable and friendly Cashier to join our team. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for handling customer transactions and providing excellent customer service. Your main duties will include operating the cash register, scanning items, and processing payments. Responsibilities:

- Greet customers as they enter the store and assist them with their purchases

- Operate the cash register and process transactions accurately and efficiently

- Scan items and ensure pricing is correct

- Accept payments in the form of cash, credit, or debit cards

- Issue receipts, change, and refunds to customers

- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area

- Answer customer inquiries and provide information about products and services

- Upsell products and promotions to customers

- Keep track of inventory and restock items as needed

- Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times

- Collaborate with other team members to ensure a smooth and efficient checkout process

- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a professional manner

- Follow safety and security procedures to prevent theft and fraud

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Previous experience as a cashier or in a customer service role is preferred

- Basic math and computer skills

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to handle cash and operate a cash register

- Attention to detail and accuracy

- Strong problem-solving skills

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

- Must be reliable and punctual
