ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Guest Engagement
Warmly greet and welcome guests with professionalism and genuine hospitality.
Recognize and warmly welcome VIP guests, briefing the team accordingly and ensuring they are seated in the most suitable section.
Communicate guests preferences to waiters to deliver personalized service.
Anticipate and respond to guests needs with emotional attentiveness and courtesy.
Reservation & Seating Management
Answer all booking inquiries promptly and professionally, in line with brand standards.
Organize and maintain the reservations system, ensuring accurate booking details and timely communication.
Coordinate with management regarding private bookings or special events, ensuring smooth execution.
Maintain and update the guest database to support long-term relationship building.
Monitor table turnover to maximize occupancy and efficiency without compromising guest experience.
Communicate wait times clearly and courteously while keeping guests comfortable.
Reputation & Brand Standards
Ensure Google review ratio and online guest feedback remain positive by promoting excellent service and guest satisfaction.
Actively encourage positive guest experiences that contribute to maintaining strong brand reputation and guest loyalty.
Cleanliness & Organization
Ensure the entrance, lobby, and hostess stand are immaculate and welcoming at all times.
Keep menus, reservation systems, and guest lists accurate, clean, and presentable.
Assist waiters in cleaning and resetting tables when needed, ensuring seamless operations.
Teamwork & Communication
Liaise closely with waiters, runners, and managers to coordinate seating and ensure smooth service flow.
Provide timely updates to the team regarding guest needs, VIP arrivals, or special requests.
Actively participate in pre-service briefings and contribute to a positive, structured team environment.
Service Excellence
Maintain a professional and polished presence at all times as the face of the restaurant.
Handle guest concerns or feedback with diplomacy and escalate appropriately.
Promote weekly events, special menus, and brand highlights to enhance the guest experience.
REQUIREMENTS
Required Skills and Qualifications
Previous experience as a hostess or in a guest-facing hospitality role.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a welcoming and professional demeanor.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Proficiency in reservation systems and basic POS knowledge is an advantage.
Attention to cleanliness, grooming, and professional presentation.
Ability to remain calm and structured in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
