SAP Material Management Consultant

Job Purpose:

We are seeking an enthusiastic Entry-Level SAP MM Consultant who can provide Level 1 (L1) support for SAP Materials Management (MM) processes and basic Sales & Distribution (SD) issues. The candidate will assist in day-to-day user support, data validation, incident logging, and basic troubleshooting under the guidance of senior consultants.

Duties:

• Provide L1 support for SAP MM and basic SD issues raised by end users.
• Log incidents and service requests in the ticketing system and ensure timely resolution or escalation.
• Perform basic master data maintenance (materials, vendors, customers) and validate uploads.
• Support procure-to-pay (P2P) processes purchase requisitions, purchase orders, goods receipt, and invoice verification.
• Assist with sales order, delivery, and billing issue identification and documentation.
• Monitor and report interface or integration errors between MM and SD modules.
• Coordinate with L2/L3 functional and technical teams for complex issue resolution.
• Support UAT, regression testing, and documentation of fixes or enhancements.
• Prepare training materials, FAQs, and SOPs for end users.
• Maintain good communication with business users and ensure smooth daily operations.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science,
• Basic understanding of SAP S/4HANA MM and SD modules.
• SAP Certification in MM or SD Module
• Knowledge of P2P and OTC business processes.
• Strong analytical and documentation skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with end users and consultants.
• Familiarity with ticketing tools (e.g., Service Now, Remedy, Jira) preferred.
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Eagerness to learn and grow in SAP functional consulting.
• 2 years of experience in SAP MM or SD L1 support.

Exposure to SAP S/4HANA environment or training certification in MM/SD is a plus.
