Job Summary
The Site Engineer's responsibilities include managing different parts of construction projects, supervising crew members, completing quality assurance, observing health and safety standards, and compiling reports for different stakeholders. He/ she should be able to work alongside various professionals and create work schedules that meet deadlines. Responsibilities:

QAQC Tender issue drawings to familiarize him/herself with the project and be debriefed from the Senior Design Engineers.
1.2
Ensures that all MEP shop drawings and specified products are submitted by contractors in a timely manner and makes sure they are detailed and complete. Works to reduce design errors.
1.3
Site Representative in the post contract phase of the project.
1.4
To assist Project Engineer/Resident Engineer/Project Manager for all sites related activities.
1.5
Supervise, monitor and control all installation on site relevant to his/her designation.
1.6
Carry out site inspections as required.
1.7
Attend progress meetings when advised by resident engineer/Project manager.

Review of Material submittals

Review of Shop Drawings

Review of Method statement.

Responding to RFIs with design engineer support as required.
1.12
Issue NCR at site in coordination with the Resident engineer/Project Manager.

Coordinating with Client representatives for any site clarifications in design and execution.

Coordinating with Authorities when deemed necessary.

Witness the Testing and commissioning process.

Advice Resident Engineer to instruct Contractor/MEP Contractor to furnish list of material submittals for review. Ensure that all materials are covered. Review the submission date and approved expected date on the basis of, project schedule. Review submittals and if required, consult/seek opinion of design office staff for specific queries.
Identify the submittals where samples of materials are required.

Advice Resident Engineer to instruct the Contractor / MEP Contractor to submit schedule of shop drawings. Instruct the MEP Contractor to stamp and sign shop drawings stating that the shop drawings are coordinated with all other services subcontractors works. All subcontractors should sign the drawings confirming review prior to submission. Scrutinize shop drawings for scale, dimensions, accuracy and other information; ensure that there is to scale representation of approved materials.

Coordinating with contractor representative to oversee the process for project handing over, operation & maintenance training/familiarization process to the client/end user/operator.

Review of O&M manuals.

Attendance during the Defects liability period.

Sharing the lessons learnt with the design team for experiences gathered during the post contract phase.
