About the job Store Keeper
Responsible for
Keep a record of sales and restock the store accordingly. Manage and train store staff. Plan promotional campaigns for new products or specials. Ensure that the store is kept clean and organized. Mediate any confrontations between staff and clients, and de-escalate the situation
Primary objective
Follow all standards for issuing and receiving stock within the store's area of operation.
Working hours
Usually work is around 48 hours a week, starting early morning. You may have to work overtime during evenings, nights and weekends. They may have to report to different sites and perform duties accordingly.
Summary of Main Duties
- Receive and forward all types of goods and deliveries in and out of the store to the correct point of storage area.
- Follow all standards for issuing and receiving stock within the store's area of operation.
- Monitor and take inventory on regular basis to compile orders based on par levels or needs.
- Maintain clear and organized records to ensure all reports and invoices are filed and stored properly.
- Monitor Periodic Automatic Replacement levels for all food items to ensure proper levels.
- Responsible to verify all goods arrived as per the agreed purchase, delivery note and agreed quantity has been received.
- Responsible for the day to day check on the storage facilities of upkeep and hygiene.
Qualification Requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Competencies in data entry, analysis, and management
- Skills to operate common office equipment
- 2+ years of experience in storekeeping, inventory control, or recordkeeping
