About the job Internal auditor
Job Purpose: To assist the internal audit team in performing audits and reviews of business operations, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, and helping improve internal controls, under close supervision and training.
Key responsibilities
- Learning & Development
- Undergo on-the-job training in internal audit methodologies, risk assessment, and control testing.
- Familiarize with company policies, procedures, and business processes.
- Conducting audit assignments
- Conduct audit testing and verify documentation.
- Conduct walkthroughs and process reviews.
- Support the internal audit team in executing the audit assignments.
- Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare clear and concise audit working papers.
- Record findings and observations.
- Preparing draft audit reports and summaries.
- Data Collection & Analysis
- Gather and analyze data from various systems and departments.
- Perform reconciliations and basic trend analysis.
- Follow-up Support
- Assist in tracking implementation of audit recommendations.
- Help maintain audit logs and documentation files.
- Team Collaboration
- Coordinate with different departments during audits.
- Attend team meetings and contribute ideas for improving audit effectiveness.
Skills required:
- Basic understanding of accounting and audit principles.
- Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel & Word).
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Eagerness to learn and work in a team environment.
- Analytical mindset and attention to detail.
