About the job Operations Officer

Job Overview The Business Development Officer will play a key role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, overseeing administrative functions, and inspecting items to ensure they are in appropriate condition and match what has been agreed upon for receipt. Additionally, this role will focus on onboarding new clients, completing the onboarding process from start to finish, and attract and retain a diverse client base, contributing to the overall growth and success of the organization.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Conduct inspections of assets scheduled for auction, ensuring that items meet quality and compliance standards before they are listed. Assess the condition, authenticity, and value of assets to provide accurate descriptions and set appropriate starting bids.

Showcase assets to potential buyers, highlighting key features and addressing inquiries.

Assist in developing proposals, presentations, and other materials as specified by the reporting line supervisor/manager.

Support client relationships efforts by providing prompt responses to enquires and assisting negotiations.

Track & report on individual sales activities and results.

Input all the necessary information accurately and in a timely manner on the appropriate channels.

Ensure the BDD policies & procedures are always adhered to.

Monitor and analyze business processes to identify areas for improvement. Utilize data analytics to uncover inefficiencies and propose actionable improvements that align with overall business goals.

Maintain accurate records and prepare business development reports that provide insights into performance metrics. This includes compiling data on sales, client interactions, and business development efficiency to support strategic decision-making.

Communicate with other departments to streamline business development activities and resolve issues. Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration to ensure a unified approach to achieving business objectives.

Respond to business issues and emergencies in a timely manner, demonstrating strong problem-solving abilities and maintaining continuity in business development activities under pressure. Function / Department

Maintain strong relationships with clients, actively engaging with them to understand their needs and expectations. Seek feedback to improve service delivery and identify potential opportunities for further engagement.

Report to the Business Development Manager, providing regular updates on business development activities, client interactions, and potential areas for business growth. Collaborate closely to align strategies for client acquisition and retention.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Sales, or a related field

Proven experience in business, administration, or a similar role

Strong knowledge of operational processes and best practices

Excellent organizational and time management skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines

Attention to detail and accuracy in work
