About the job Room Service Order Taker
Job Responsibilities:
- Answer all incoming room service calls in a courteous, professional, and friendly manner.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately, repeating them back to ensure clarity.
- Enter orders promptly into the POS system for kitchen and service team action.
- Provide detailed knowledge of menu items, ingredients, portion sizes, and recommended pairings.
- Upsell and promote specials, signature dishes, and beverages.
- Communicate guest requests clearly to kitchen and service colleagues.
- Monitor order progress and follow up with service staff to ensure timely delivery.
- Handle guest complaints or special requests politely and escalate issues to the supervisor when necessary.
- Maintain records of orders, guest preferences, and any special billing instructions.
- Ensure telephone etiquette and service standards are consistently met as per hotel brand standards.
- Assist in preparing trays, amenities, and other small service requirements during peak times.
- Work closely with the Front Office and Housekeeping to ensure smooth guest service coordination.
Qualifications Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Diploma in Hotel Management preferred.
- Previous experience in Food & Beverage, Call Center, or Customer Service roles is an advantage.
- Strong communication skills in English (Arabic or other languages are an added benefit).
- Knowledge of food & beverage menus, service procedures, and basic POS systems.
- Pleasant telephone manners with clear speech and a welcoming tone.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and remain calm under pressure.
- Professional grooming and adherence to hotel standards.
- Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as per hotel operation needs
Salary 350/- for 9 Hrs Shift including Meal Break
