About the job Consumer Department Manager
Job Purpose:
The Consumer Division Manager is responsible for leading and developing the consumer products division to achieve sustainable sales growth, strengthen market presence, and enhance customer satisfaction. This role oversees a team of 16 employees, including sales representatives and merchandisers, ensuring efficient execution of sales strategies, merchandising standards, and promotional activities
The manager will drive operational excellence, optimize product performance across retail channels, build strong retailer relationships, and implement data-driven initiatives that support the companys commercial objectives. The ultimate goal is to maximize revenue, expand market share, and maintain high performance within the division.
Duties:
1. Sales Leadership & Strategy
Develop and implement annual sales plans to achieve revenue, volume, and market share targets.
Monitor sales performance and adjust strategies based on market trends and competitive activity.
Lead, coach, and motivate the sales team to deliver high-quality execution and exceed targets.
Ensure proper account management and negotiate terms with key retailers and distributors.
2. Merchandising Management
Oversee merchandising standards to ensure product visibility, availability, and compliance with brand guidelines.
Plan and supervise in-store promotional activities, product displays, and seasonal campaigns.
Review merchandising performance reports and take corrective actions to optimize shelf presence.
3. Operational & Financial Management
Prepare and manage division budgets, including sales forecasts, promotional spending, and operational costs.
Ensure efficient route planning, resource allocation, and workload distribution across the team.
Review and approve expense reports, trade investments, and sales promotions.
Skills/Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field (Masters degree is a plus).
8+ years experience in the same field
Have thorough knowledge of achieving revenue growth & improving market performance.
Have the ability to organize everything concerned with the product's development
Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
Have good leadership skills to supervise those involved with each stage in the process
Possess a creative way of thinking
Have the ability to focus on specific goals
Be energetic and passionate about your product
