Performance Indicators

  • Accurately implement all company Visual Merchandising policies. Implement easy to shop store grids. Implement well styled mannequins in line with the styling policy. Use appropriate styling techniques and the correct visual elements in the relevant areas to aid customer segmentation.
  • Excellent visual standards across the store including all Business Units and Windows.

  • Implement seasonal launches and events on time and on brand. Be aware of both store and company best sellers. Have an awareness of competitor activities and trends within Visual Merchandising. Work effectively and communicate regularly with store colleagues and Area VM Coordinator ensure brand consistency.

  • Effective Seasonal launches and events delivered on brand and on time.

  • Implement window display guidelines on time and on brand. Ensure corporate initiatives are implemented effectively. VM checklist to be maintained and adhered to. Execution of marketing initiatives in the stores. Liaise with the Store Managers everyday for updates on VM processes / requirements / people.
  • Delivery of design primarily for POS / Windows / VM as required by the business in store.

5. JOB CONTEXT: Define organizational policy and other factors that have a critical impact on the job

Visual merchandising team members contribute to the advertising, marketing, and sales efforts of Mark & Spencer by designing, developing and taking charge of the visual look of the store and its merchandise.

As a member of the in-store merchandising team, you will be executing merchandising strategies by creating and maintaining visual displays in the store windows and on the sales floor. You will also contribute to the profitability of the store with your merchandise handling, replenishment, and inventory control efforts.

6. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge: Graduate Degree

  • Bachelors degree or a degree on visual merchandizing (vocational or occupational studies)
  • Minimum 3 5 years experience in visual merchandising in Reatil

Behavioural Competencies : Leadership, Strong Business Acumen and the ability to communicate with business partners at all levels
