OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE OF YOUR ROLE

Under the supervision of the Head of maintenance, you will carry all water treatment, filtration, and aquatic systems maintenance across the facility and surrounding areas, with a primary focus on water treatment management, including filtration systems, chemical dosing, water circulation, and water quality control (wave generator, swimming pool). You will also provide electrical-fitter support and basic mechanical fitter assistance. The role includes routine facility maintenance to keep guest and back-of-house areas safe, reliable, and compliant.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform aquatic maintenance of the Wavegarden system while managing water system operations and water-quality requirements, ensuring correct water levels, clarity, and chemical balance to meet wave-system performance standards.

Operate, monitor, and maintain all water treatment systems including filtration units, skimmers, strainers, circulation pumps, and chemical dosing systems.

Conduct daily water testing (pH, chlorine, alkalinity, ORP, TDS, turbidity) and maintain accurate water-quality logs to ensure compliance.

Perform routine facility maintenance includes PPM and corrective maintenance.

Perform basic mechanical and electrical tasks.

Ensure safe handling, storage, and usage of chemicals in accordance with regulatory guidelines.

Coordinate with Operations, Aquatics/Lifeguards, and other departments to minimize downtime and guest impact.

Ensure all tasks follow safe working practices and Bahrain Surf Park Safety Policies.

Ensure compliance with maintenance procedures, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.

Report recurring defects, system anomalies, or equipment risks to HOD immediately.


Qualifications

.

Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/MEP Engineering or equivalent.

.

Courses or certifications related to water management are considered an advantage.

Experience

.

Minimum 3 years of experience in an aquatic environment as pool technician.

.

Experience in a water park, aquatic facility, resort, or leisure environment is an advantage. (Experience with Middle Eastern culture and working environment is a plus)

.

Strong knowledge of water treatment and filtration systems with solid hands-on experience in chemical handling and pool maintenance.

Professional Skills Attributes

.

Basic administrative skills, and computer literacy.

.

Hand on pool equipment/testing kits and maintenance tools/machinery.

.

Good command of English (Arabic is an advantage)

.

Basic knowledge of HVAC.
